Thanks to an extensively meandering conversation with Larry Greenberg at Studio 10, I wound up paying a most unexpected yet nonetheless extremely pleasant visit to Charles Yuen’s studio, located in the general environs of Carroll Gardens.

Conversation there continued to meander in splendid ways once Yuen was in the mix, and it pertained now to oneiric abstraction, now to inter-contextualizable forms, now to chromatic perspective, now to circum-ambient forces. And to travel, too. And border hostilities. And monkeys’ rights. And whisky afternoons.

Here are a few glimpses of his work. To see more, visit his website.

    Chuck,
Can hardly wait to see more of these cool paintings. Looking forward to your Studio 10 opening, in Feb. I believe.
